Today I received the reply from the CBN TV Station. They asked me to attend the interview in August in Shanghai, China. However, I will be still working on my dissertation in UK. I asked Miss Li, the HR, whether they could interview me by Skype. Luckily, she agreed.
I applied for TV programme planning assistant. This is quite diffenrent from the marketing department in PCNE TV station. Therefore, I watched a TV programme of CBN TV station and write a TV prgramme rundown by myself. I also called my friend, Qian about her routine work, who used to be a TV programme Planning. Good luck with the interview for CBN TV station!

An application for CBN TV Station
The internship begins in the September. They might give working offer after 3 months internship. At the same time, I will also prepare for the recruitment at Hearst Magazine, which is my dream company.
The hardest year to find a job in China
The situation of job affair in the year of 2013 in China
It is reported that the year 2013 is the hardest job hunting year in China. According to the Ministry of Education, there are more than 6.99 million college graduates in 2013, 190,000 more than last year. The large number of graduates certainly brings the fierce competition in job market.
The hard situation reminds me to prepare for my job as soon as possible. Hearst, my favourite company, usually recruits in September and October. Other fashion magazines, however, do not have regular recruitment to the public. They usually recruit employee via recommendation in their network. Unfortunately, I do not know anyone in the network. The only hope for me to work in a fashion magazine is the recruitment of Hearst in September.
Job Hunting Step One:Using LinkedIn
LinkedIn is a social networking website for people in professional occupations. Founded in December 2002 and launched on May 5, 2003, it is mainly used for professioanl networking. As of June 2013, LinkedIn reports more than 225 million acquired users in more than 200 countries and territories.
After the internship in PCNE, I started to look for a job or an internship in or after September. LinkedIn popped into my mind. Therefore, I get started to register and create my linked-in page. I also found some friends and professional people on the website.
One good thing for using linkedIn is that headhunting might find my profile, although the possibility might small. Another thing is that I can see other people's profile, especially who are successful in the field I want to engage in in the future. Then I can reflect on my own and decide where to go next.
